Dr. Scott Whitaker is a board certified naturopathic doctor with over 20 years of experience in herbology, iridology, homeopathy, natural healing and detoxification. A Southern California native, Scott grew up in the infamous South Central area of Los Angeles. With strong parental guidance as his anchor, he escaped the call of the streets and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in Civil Engineering. During his time at Berkeley, he became interested in wholistic medicine and drew a connection between wholistic living and long-term health. Of particular interest to him was the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of prescription drugs on common health problems plaguing the African American community. Especially alarming was the number of friends of family members he watched suffer and eventually die from the effects of these synthetic slaughterers.
After graduation, he found himself working in the engineering field in St. Louis, Missouri. He enrolled in the Keller Graduate School of Management where he earned his MBA, but his interest in wholistic medicine was far from satiated. Determined to get all of the information he could, he obtained his Doctorate of Naturopathy from the International School of Naturopathy in Los Altos, California. Armed with the resources he needed, Dr. Whitaker vowed to spread the truth about prescription medications and bring the message of wholistic lifestyles as a means to obtaining long-term good health to people everywhere.
On a personal note, Dr. Whitaker is an avid basketball enthusiast who enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Today, Dr. Whitaker is a sought-after lecturer that can be heard nationwide uncovering the myths associated with wholistic medicine. He is also the owner/founder of the Wholistic Health Institute, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of disease through education. Dr. Jose' "Dr.Botanika" Fleming, CSTCM, MH, BSc.
Jose' Fleming is a certified specialist in Oriental Medicine, a trained specialist in orthomolecular medicine and metabolic therapy, and is an 18 year veteran in Nutritional Science. He is also the founder of the Institute of Health, Healing Arts and Enlightenment (IHHAE), a non-profit organization that provides education and resources for anyone who desires a solution for any health concern or who wishes to be enlightened with a broad spectrum of healing arts, agriculture, natural food resources and self-empowerment. In 1985, after receiving his undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, California and at San Francisco State College, Dr. Jose' began working in the media and marketing department with Pacific Bell and AT&T Communications. He went on to becoming a radio announer and disc Jockey for several radio stations in the programming of Jazz, and Rhythm/Blues. After a few years of working in the media industry he decided to pursue his childhood passion in the field of Natural Medicine and attended the International School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in New Mexico in 1989.
After receiving his certification and degree in Oriental medicine, he decided to open a full-line health food store in St. Louis, Missouri in 1993 called GrassRootz. While the store was in operation, Dr. Jose' continued his education and research in natural medicine and attended the School of Natural Healing in Southern Florida founded by Dr. George X. Love, renowned doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and QiGong Master and Anahitta Jafari Doctor of Persian Medicine. While attending the School of Natural Healing he also recieved a degree in herbology from the Dr. Christopher's School of Natural Healing in 1999.
In 1995, Dr. Jose' had the privilege to meet Dr. Charlotte Gerson the famous daughter of eminent genius, Dr. Max Gerson a German physician who invented the cure for tuberculosis and cancer back in the 1930's. Dr. Jose' has the privilege to travel to Tijuana, Mexico to observe and be trained in the medical field of Metabolic Therapy, which has been used successfully for nearly 60 years for practically every common disease know to man. Dr. Jose' was educated and trained in this therapy and has now developed a synergistic protocol to effectively address practically all health concerns.
